Ear Wax

Removal

Let's start by saying that ear wax production is a very natural, normal and healthy thing. It has anti-bacterial properties like a protective layer between your ear canal and the outside elements. Ear wax prevents dust, bacteria or anything else that enters the ear canal from reaching the eardrum.

Where Does It Come From?

Ear wax is produced by oil glands in the outer part of the ear canal. The fancy name for ear wax is cerumen.

Why Do We Need to Remove It?

If left alone, normally ear wax migrates out of the ear on its own so its best left alone. Sometimes though, it creates a blockage or a buildup that can cause earaches, feelings of fullness, ringing in the ears (Tinnitus) and multiple problems with hearing aids.

How Do You Get Rid of Ear Wax?

You need to see someone who is trained in wax removal, someone who is trained in examining the ear and someone who has the proper tools and equipment. STAY AWAY FROM Q-TIPS, THEY ONLY MAKE IT WORSE!

We have clinicians expertly trained in wax removal and are now offering flushing with the Earigator. For those ears that cannot be syringed, we provide manual curetting.
